ORIGIN

Until 2014 there was no global, universally accepted model for recognising quality. Each model used different reference points for analysis and quantification.

QH Accreditation was conceived to satisfy the need for a system that integrates multiple quality components into a single unit of measure.

The Spanish Association for Quality (AEC), the Spanish Society of Healthcare Quality (SECA), and a panel of highly regarded healthcare quality experts from different Healthcare organisations collaborated in the creation of this unique system.

In 2015 IDIS made QH Accreditation available for our National System globally as a free evaluation tool, which can be used by any healthcare organisation that values quality and continuous improvement, regardless of ownership.
